The apartment

El Descanso is an apartment designed for a few days of switching off in the Pyrenees.

Every room has a window to the outside, except one of the bathrooms, which brings in natural light and a pleasant sense of space.

From the dining room and the terrace you can enjoy views of the old town of Aínsa. The apartment is also on a quiet street surrounded by oak trees, where all you hear is birdsong and the leaves moving in the breeze.

Dining room

A bright, spacious room: a table with six chairs, a sofa and sofa bed, a coffee table, a display cabinet with drawers and a flat-screen TV with Netflix. Its sliding doors open onto the terrace.

Bedrooms

Three bedrooms, all with a large wardrobe and a bedside table with a socket. The main one has a double bed, a chest of drawers with a TV and a desk with a chair. The second has a double bed, and the third, two single beds. Sheets, blankets and pillows included.

Kitchen

Fully equipped kitchen: hob and oven, fridge, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, toaster and coffee maker. It has cooking utensils, glasses, coffee cups and cleaning products. With a door to the terrace.

Bathrooms

Two bathrooms. The first has a washbasin, toilet, bidet, bathtub, cabinet, mirror and a window to the outside. The second has a washbasin, toilet, shower, shelf and mirror. Towels, toilet paper, toiletries and a hairdryer are included.

Parking

Free parking for guests, suitable for one car or several motorbikes.

Free parking on the same street as the apartment, where it is easy to find a space.

Storage room

You have a free storage room to keep whatever you need during your stay. It is suitable for bicycles without a battery or with a removable battery.

Bicycles with a non-removable battery are not allowed: the storage room has no charging point, and bicycles cannot be taken up to the apartment.

Outdoor park

Outdoor park next to the building, open to everyone, with children’s play equipment and large picnic tables.

House rules

  • Check-in: from 5:00 pm.
  • Check-out: until 1:00 pm.
  • Cancellation: free up to 15 days before arrival; after that, 100% cancellation fee.
  • Pets: not allowed.
  • Parties: stag or hen parties and similar celebrations are not allowed.
  • Smoking: smoke-free rooms.
  • Bicycles: not suitable for bicycles with a non-removable battery, because they cannot be taken up to the apartment. All other bicycles can be kept in the storage room.

Is there air conditioning and heating?

Yes. The apartment has air conditioning, a heat pump, heating and a fan.

What are the Wi-Fi conditions?

Wi-Fi is free and available throughout the apartment.

Can I park at El Descanso?

Yes. El Descanso has free private parking for guests, suitable for one car or several motorbikes. There is also free parking on the same street.

How many people can stay?

The apartment sleeps 7 people, with three bedrooms (two with a double bed and one with two single beds) and a sofa bed in the dining room.

What are the check-in and check-out times?

Check-in is from 5:00 pm and check-out is until 1:00 pm.

What is the cancellation policy?

Cancellation is free up to 15 days before arrival. After that, 100% of the cancellation fee is charged.

Can I cook in the apartment?

Yes. The kitchen is equipped with a hob, oven, fridge, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, toaster and coffee maker, and includes utensils, glasses and cups.

Are bed linen and towels included?

Yes. We provide sheets, blankets and pillows, as well as towels, toilet paper and toiletries.

Where can I keep bikes and motorbikes?

Motorbikes go in the car park, where there is room for several. Bicycles without a battery, or with a removable battery, can be kept in the free storage room. Bicycles with a non-removable battery are not accepted, because they cannot be taken up to the apartment and the storage room has no charging point.

Can I bring my pet?

No. El Descanso does not accept pets.

Is smoking allowed?

No. The rooms are smoke-free.

Are parties or celebrations allowed?

No. Stag or hen parties and similar celebrations are not allowed.

Is there a private bathroom?

Yes. The apartment has two private bathrooms.

Is there a balcony?

Yes. There is a terrace (balcony) with views of the mountains and the old town of Aínsa, with a clothes drying rack.

Is there a cot?

Yes. We have a free cot, on request and subject to availability.

Is it wheelchair accessible?

Yes. The apartment is wheelchair accessible, with a lift from the garage.

What tourist attractions are nearby?

Aínsa has a medieval old town with a castle, Plaza Mayor and the church of Santa María, and Ordesa and Monte Perdido National Park is 40 km away. You will find more ideas on the Aínsa and Surroundings pages.

How far is Ordesa National Park?

About 40 km, roughly 50 minutes by car.

Is breakfast served?

No. The apartment has a fully equipped kitchen, and Aínsa has cafés and supermarkets.

Is there a restaurant?

No. Aínsa has restaurants and cafés.

Is there a swimming pool?

No. In summer you can use Aínsa’s open-air municipal swimming pools.

Is there a spa?

No. El Descanso has no spa or wellness centre.
